Legionnaires fall to Contacts

The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires were defeated 3-1 by the visiting Saskatoon Contacts Sunday.

Rin Beny scored the only goal on the power play with assists from Lucas Ochitwa and Jerzy Orchard. Steven Duchscher took the loss with 31 saves on 34 shots.

Jarrett Penner, Josh Paulhus and Davin Griffin all scored for the Contacts. Race Ramsay earned the win with 33 saves on 34 shots.

The Legionnaires dropped to 9-5-0-2 in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League, while the Contacts improved to 8-6-0-3.

The Legionnaires will visit the Regina Pat Canadians on Wednesday.
