Franchises win national awards

Nutter's Bulk & Natural Foods along with Sangster's Health Centres have both won national recognition awards for their franchises.

Nutters was recently saluted with the prestigious Brock Elliot Award at the Annual Canadian Health Food Association Expo West and Conference held in Vancouver.

"This is a real tribute to our franchise operators in communities across Western Canada, to the well trained and dedicated employees in all of our stores, and in particular, an opportunity to say thank you to all of our customers who have supported Nutter's over the years," explained Donald Cranston, President of Nutter's.

The Brock Elliot Award is presented annually to a Canadian Health Food Retailer who represents the ideals of the Industry.

Sangster's Health Centres, Canada's longest running health and nutrition franchise, is the 2009 recipient of the Canadian Franchise Association's prestigious CFA Award of Excellence in Franchising.

The CFA Award of Excellence in Franchising is given annually to the franchise system that has developed the strongest, most mutually rewarding relationships with its franchisees.

"This award is the largest achievement a franchise system can aspire to win, and it is truly amazing to be recognized as a leading franchise system in Canada. Sangster's Health Centres was founded by my father and his vision and morals of doing business with honour and respect hold true to this day, and this award is a testament as to how Sangster's Health Centres does business," said Darryl Sangster, Sangster's Health Centres President and COO.
