The Swift Current United Under-12 Girls brought silver medals home from the RSA Youth Tournament in Regina this past weekend with a 2-2 record at the indoor soccer tournament.

The U12 Girls opened the tournament with a 2-0 win over Regina’s ACFC Tigres on goals from MJ Anderson and Eden Stevenson.

Swift Current was unable to capitalize on any of their scoring chances in their second game, a 3-0 loss to Regina’s REU Galaxy.

Montana Adair netted a hat trick in a 3-1 win over Regina’s QC United to conclude the round robin. The win clinched United a spot in the championship final for a rematch with the REU Galaxy.

The United girls, coached by Delina McGuire and Rick Anderson, were unable to find the back of the net once again against the Galaxy in a 4-0 loss to settle for silver.

The team will be back in action later this month at ACFC Winterfest in Regina.
