The Swift Current Comp. Ardens socccer team scored 12 goals to remain unbeaten in the Moose Jaw High School Soccer League
The Swift Current Comp. Ardens moved to 4-0 in the Moose Jaw High School Soccer League with another blowout win.
Visiting Moose Jaw AE Peacock were the victims of the Ardens’ offensive prowess on Tuesday as they found the back of the net for 12 goals and kept another clean sheet on the defensive side of the ball.
Cassandra Furey-Cameron and Hannah Dyck shared the shutout in goal for the Ardens, who have now outscored their opponents 35-0 this season.
Santana Gowan led the Ardens with three goals and an assist, while Brooke Vallee and Shayla Driver both added a goal and two assists and Ashley Eben scored twice and added an assist. Kelsey Therrien and Jessica Driver each chipped in a goal and an assist.
Christina Chase and Karrie Therrien both added goals, while Andrea Erlandson and Payton Schwan collected assists.
The win stretched the Ardens’ Moose Jaw league unbeaten streak to 49 games over five seasons.
The Ardens will face their biggest test to date this weekend when they participate in Moose Jaw SoccerFest, a 16-team tournament that will challenge the Ardens with five games over two days against many of the top high school soccer teams from across Saskatchewan.
