The Swift Current Comp. Ardens wrapped up their eighth consecutive Moose High School Soccer League regular season title with two wins in Moose Jaw on Saturday.

The three-time defending league champions scored 24 goals over 180 minutes to earn a bye past the league quarterfinals.
 They opened the day with an 8-0 victory over the Moose Jaw Vanier Spirits in the two teams’ first meeting of the season.

Grade 12 sweeper Emilie Erlandson led the attack with a goal and three assists as she set up three consecutive goals over a 14-minute span and then added a breakaway goal of her own in the 35th minute.

Cassidy Andres added two goals and an assist as her league record goal-scoring total continues to grow. Grade nine striker Jade Addai displayed some improving patience around the goal to net three goals in the win. Santana Gowan and Andrea Erlandson both added a goal and an assist, while Shae Bolton and Tara Kirkpatrick both added assists.

The floodgates opened in the afternoon match when 10 different Ardens scored goals in a 16-0 win over the Estevan Elecs, including Bolton’s first career goal.

Andres paced the Ardens with two goals and five assists, followed by a hat trick from Gowan and two goals from Cassandra Furey-Cameron and Becky Neustaeter. Kirstie Klevgaard added a goal and two helpers, Emilie Erlandson and Jessica Driver each had a goal and an assist, and Kelsey Therrien chipped in a pair of assists.

Addai, Kaylee Kyle, and Leia Anderson all found the back of the net, while Kirkpatrick and Andrea Erlandson added assists.

Britney Cleaveley played both games on goal and earned a pair of shutouts during two quiet outings.

The Ardens are now 7-0 in league play and have outscored their opponents 68-1 with one game remaining in the regular season.

The Ardens will conclude the regular season at home Thursday when they host the Vanier Spirits at 4:15 p.m. at Irwin School Field. They will open the playoffs the follwing Thursday when they travel to Moose Jaw to face the lowest remaining team in the semifinal.
