U16 United win gold in penalty kicks

The Swift Current United Soccer Club Under-16 boys picked up another gold medal with four straight wins at ACFC Summerfest in Regina.

Friday, the U16 United boys downed Regina’s ACFC Pumas 4-2 to get in the win column.

Saturday, they defeated the Weyburn Black Devils 3-1 and the UCT Mustangs 2-0 to cruise into the final.

Sunday’s championship match was much closer as they topped UCT 2-1 in penalty kicks to claim gold.
