The Swift Current Foresters United under-14 girls opened their indoor soccer season with a gold medal performance at a tournament in Regina over the weekend.

The United girls opened the Breakaway Tournament, hosted by the Queen City South United Soccer Club, with a 6-1 win over Regina’s AC Tigres.

Saturday, they clinched a spot in the final with a 1-1 draw against the host Regina Phoenix.

The United girls took the rematch against the Phoenix in the championship final with a 7-0 win to claim the tournament title.
