PAC Provincials in Swift Current

Nine men’s and women’s basketball teams will be in Swift Current this weekend for the Prairie Athletic Conference provincial basketball championships.

Five men’s team will be competing for provincial supremacy and four teams will do battle on the womens side of the draw.

The Great Plains College SunDogs and Millar College of the Bible Edge will be joined in the men’s tournament by the Palliser Panthers, Bethany Eagles, and Kelsey Amaruks.

The Millar Edge women will face competition from Kelsey, Palliser, and the First Nations University of Canada.

Action begins Friday at 4 p.m. when the Great Plains College SunDogs host the Millar Edge at Irwin. The Millar Edge women will also host FNUC in Pambrun on Friday at 5 p.m. followed by two more games in Pambrun.

Action begins Saturday at Irwin School with the women’s semi-finals at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. followed by six more games throughout the day.

The women’s final will be played at 4:30 p.m. and the men’s championship game is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Irwin School.
