Johnson sweeps SCRA Season Opener

#19 James Johnson was the top driver on Sunday at the Speedy Creek Racing Association’s Season Opener at the Speedy Creek Raceway.

Johnson won all three Mini Stock races on Sunday to earn 50 points and open the season with a five-point lead over #52 Chris Coward.

#22 Clay Nelson won both Hobby Stock heat races to edge #11 Tyson Crowe by one point on the afternoon.

Tyson Crowe took the Hobby Stock feature race for a total of 47 points.

#0 Brad Levorson won the Street Stock feature and leads the standings with 45 points.

#98 Daryl Kehler won the first Street Stock heat and sits fourth with 40 points, while #04 Tanner Levorson took the other heat and sits fifth with 36 points.

#7 Randy Schultz did not win a race but sits second with 44 points, followed by #33 Greg Schultz with 42 points.

The second SCRA race day of the season will be Saturday, May 14th at 7 p.m. featuring the Hobbies and Streets in addition to the season debut of the IMCA Modifieds.
