Krause and Lacelle win twice at SCRA's sixth race day

#2 Kelly Krause and #3 Trampus Lacelle were both double winners as 187 fans watched 10 different drivers win 12 races at the Speedy Creek Racing Association's sixth race day on Saturday.

Krause, 17, driving a 1984 Mustang, won a heat and the feature in the Mini Stock class. He picked up 38 points on the day to sit sixth with 87 points after three Mini Stock race days.

#01 Stuart Johnson won the other Mini Stock heat for his first SCRA checkered flag of the season.

Trampus Lacelle made a triumphant return to the Speedy Creek Raceway with a heat and a feature win in the Hobby Stock class. Driving the #3 car of Shane Grose, Lacelle captured 46 points.

#44 Kevin Schafer won a Hobby Stock heat and now sits only one point out of second with 174 points. #22 Clay Nelson took his third checkered flag of the season in the cash dash and sits second with 175 points, 13 points behind #7 Cam Weston in top spot.

Adam Pritchard, driving the #22 car, won the mechanics race in Hobby Stock.

In the Street Stock class, #90 Barry Winter’s string of four race days with at least one win, including checkered flags in all three races last week, came to an end as three different drivers won Street Stock races. Winter continues to lead all Street Stock cars with 217 points as he picked up 36 points on Saturday. Winter, driving a 1988 Monte Carlo, also leads all SCRA drivers with seven wins in 2010.

#98 Daryl Kehler won the first Street Stock heat for his fourth win of the season as he remains third in the standings with 191 points.

#7 Randy Schultz won his first race of 2010 with a heat win and sits second with 196 points.

#0 Brad Leverson won his first feature of the season and sits fourth with 177 points after earning 46 points on Saturday.

Dennis Schultz, in the #33 car, captured the Street Stock mechanics race.

The SCRA's seventh race day of the season will go Saturday August 14 at 7 p.m.
