The cars and drivers of the Speedy Creek Racing Association made it back to the dirt for a beautiful evening of racing on Saturday as they held their long awaited third race day of the 2010 season.

532 spectators watched 11 different drivers take checkered flags in 14 races held in three different classes. Three drivers, each in a different racing class, were multiple winners on the evening.

#19 James Johnson was the big winner in the Mini Stock Division as he won heat number two and the Australian tag to move from second to first in the season standings with 83 points after two Mini Stock race days.

#5 Holly Klym won her first race of the season with a heat win and now sits second with 79 points.

#2 Kelly Krause won the feature race with his first checkered flag of the season and sits seventh with 39 points.

The Hobby Stock Division was very busy with five different drivers coming out on top of six races on Saturday.

#44 Kevin Schafer was the only double winner with a heat and feature win to move into second with 129 points, one point back of #7 Cam Weston in top spot.

#21 Scott Pain won a heat for his first win of the season as he sits third with 119 points. #11 Tyson Crowe also won his first race in the heats. #5 Stefan Klym won the final Hobby Stock heat, his third checkered flag of 2010. #3 Shane Grose got on the board in the Australian tag with his first win.

The Street Stock Division has a new leader after #90 Barry Winter won a feature race and the Australian tag for 45 points to take over top spot with 131 points. Winter became the first SCRA driver to win four races this season and is also the only driver to win on all three race days in 2010.

#8 Chad Schofield won the first Street Stock heat, his first win of 2010. #0 Brad Leverson was also a first time winner as he topped the Street Stock feature.

Next up on the calendar is the Southwest’s biggest racing weekend of the summer on July 31 and August 1 when the SCRA hosts the 2010 Wolff Pack Run with over $40,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
