Speedy Creek Racing season ends on Sunday

The Speedy Creek Racing Association will put the finishing touches on the 2009 season on Sunday when they host their Season Ender at 2 p.m. at the Speedy Creek Raceway at Kinetic Exhibition Park.The SCRA will host action in Mini, Hobby, and Street Stock divisions as the chase for the points title comes down to the wire.

Heading into Sunday's action the closest race is in the Hobby Stock division where #96 Dave Koethler leads #5 Corey Mohr by only a single point. Greg Schultz sits third with 336 points, 24 points back of the lead.

#96 Steve Lee enters Sunday with a 14-point lead over #97 Tyson Empy for top spot in the Mini Stock division. Lee has 201 points, followed by Empy with 187 and #2 Kelly Krause with 151.

In Street Stock #0 Brad Leverson carries a 15-point lead into Sunday with 351 points ahead of #46 Jason Duclos' 336 and #20 Colin Johnson with 332.

Kids in attendance can also get in on the action with three bicycles up for grabs during races planned for the intermission. Kids can bring their own bikes to the race and place them in the flag tower area prior to 1:45 p.m. and then race them during the intermission. Races will take place in the 11-13, 8-10, and 5-7 age groups.
