Modifieds roar into action

The action was loud and fast when the Speedy Creek Racing Association hosted their Open Wheel weekend on Saturday and Sunday at the Speedy Creek Raceway.

The highlight of the weekend was the flat out racing by the drivers from the IMCA Modifieds. Dave Dease held the hot hand over both days, claiming both feature races on the weekend.

Dave Koethler valuted into first place in the hobby stock division with an 82 point increase to lead with 306 points. Murray Koethler held onto second place, three points behind the front runner after earning 67 points to enjoy a 303 point total.

In the hotly contested division, Corey Mohr sits in third place with 301 points after a 91-point weekend, and Greg Schultz is fourth with 299 points.

Brad Levorson continues to lead the pack in the street stock division with 310 points after earning 73 points on the weekend. Jason Duclos moved up five places by capturing 87 points and he now sits second with 292 points. Colin Johnston continues to hold onto third place with 287 points. Fourth through seventh places are separated by just 15 points.
