Two students of the Backstage Dance Company recently had a chance to perform with a professional dance troupe.
Both Kelsey Carlson and Storm Funk were on stage during Ballet Jorgen's performance of Romeo and Juliet at the Sky Centre.
This was the second time that Funk, a grade 11 student who has been dancing since the age of three, has had the opportunity to dance with a professional dance company. She previously dance with the Moscow Ballet during a performance of Swan Lake.
The two young dancers spend about 10 hours a week honing their skills and their efforts were rewarded with the opportunity to dance with Ballet Jorgen.
