Cyclones to host expansion Thunder

Cypress Cyclones fans will get their first glimpse of the expansion Ochapowace Thunder this weekend with a pair of games at the Maple Creek Community Arena on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

Cypress Cyclones fans will get their first glimpse of the expansion Ochapowace Thunder this weekend with a pair of games at the Maple Creek Community Arena on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

The Cyclones (11-15-0-5) have won two of three road games versus the Thunder (10-19-0-1) this season and will be looking for continued production from the new line of Kody Orr, Todd Nieszner, and Clay Cooke who have combined for 18 points over the last three games.

The Cyclones have just completed five straight road games picking up five of a possible 10 points and have 11 games remaining in the regular season with seven of them at home.

Cypress currently sit third in the PJHL's South Division with 27 points while the three teams trailing them are all less then six points off their trail.

Colby Schneider, Brock Chisholm, and Orr are tied for the team lead in points with 31 followed by Cooke with 30.
