Kendel Reich of the Wado Kokusai Karate Studio was promoted to 1st Dan Blackbelt at a recent seminar held here in Swift Current by Sensei Ken Corrigan 7th Dan, Chief instructor in Canada for Wado Kokusai.

Kendel Reich of the Wado Kokusai Karate Studio was promoted to 1st Dan Blackbelt at a recent seminar held here in Swift Current by Sensei Ken Corrigan 7th Dan, Chief instructor in Canada for Wado Kokusai.
Reich was awarded 1st class pass, the highest mark that a karateka can achieve for a grading and demonstrated excellence in both technical requirements and kumite (sparing).

The Wado Kokusai Karate Studio was formed in 2000 under the leadership of Lorne Davis 4th Dan, Dave James 4th Dan, Vimal Parmar 3rd Dan and Kevin Klassen 2nd Dan.

Wado Kokusai was founded by Professor Tatsuo Suzuki, 8th Dan Hanshi in 1991 in order to protect the essence of Wado Ryu Karate-Do as taught to him by the founder Hironori Ohtsuka.

The W.I.K.F. is the largest of three main Wado groups and is established in 51 countries. Wado Kokusai Karate Studio is privileged to be a part of this organization and to continue to teach and practice traditional karate.
