Gatzke and Terriers headed to RBC Cup

Swift Current’s Daylan Gatzke and the Yorkton Terriers are headed to the RBC Cup after winning the Crescent Point Western Canada Cup in Dauphin.

The Terriers defeated the host Dauphin Kings 5-4 in the championship final Saturday led by four goals from Brett Boehm.

The Terriers opened the tournament with a 3-1 loss to the Winnipeg Blues on April 26. They bounced back the next evening with an 8-6 win over the host Dauphin Kings. The Terriers lost 3-2 to the Spruce Grove Saints on April 29 but rebounded again the next day with a 4-1 win over the Coquitlam Express.

The RBC Cup, Canada’s Junior A National Championship, will begin May 10 in Vernon, BC with the final slated for May 18.
