Black signs ATO with AHL's Albany Devils

Swift Current Broncos graduated forward, Graham Black, has signed an Amateur Tryout Contract with the Albany Devils, the American Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.

Black, 20, registered 34 goals and 63 assists in 69 games to place eighth in Western Hockey League scoring this season. He also finished with a plus-18 rating. He wrapped up his WHL career with 199 points in 214 games played, all with the Swift Current Broncos after being acquired in a trade from the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The 6’, 184-pound product of Regina was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the fifth round, 135th overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Albany is currently second in the AHL's Northeast Division with a 35-23-5-8 record. They host games against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Providence Bruins, and Syracuse Crunch this weekend.

Black will be joining former Bronco teammate Reece Scarlett, who has 18 points and a plus-eight rating in 46 games during his first professional season with the Devils.
