Raiders win playoff battle with Warriors

The Swift Current Kabos Raiders scored three unanswered goals to defeat the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors 7-5 Thursday.

Braden Levac scored twice while shorthanded and added an assist to lead the Raiders to the win to open their Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League second-round consolation playoff series.

The Raiders trailed 5-4 midway through the third period before Levac, Mason Pederson and Jonas Sadden all scored to secure the two-goal victory in the two-game, total-goal series.

Cayden Price and Hunter Lamb each had three assists as the Raiders improved to 2-1 in the playoffs so far. Caleb Stevenson and Pederson each had a goal and an assist. Dayne Stenson and Tyde Hutchinson also scored, while Dryden Smith and Jesse Wellsch added assists.

Game two will be played Saturday in Moose Jaw.
