The SMAAAHL leading Notre Dame Argos got points from 13 different skaters in a win over the Swift Current Legionnaires

The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires lost 13-3 to the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League leading Notre Dame Argos as their season nears the finish line.
The Hounds led by period margins of 4-0 and 6-1 before tacking on seven goals in the third period as they fired at least 20 shots on goal in each period for a 63-28 final tally.
Tristan Hermanson led the host Legionnaires with a goal and an assist, including a powerplay as they finished one-for-five on the man-advantage and held the Hounds without a goal on four powerplay opportunities. Carter Doerksen and Kyler Sachkowski also scored, while Morgan Greve and Tanner Brewster added assists.
Shane Blomquist took the loss after allowing four goals on 14 shots. Kyle Zinger faced 49 shots in relief and made 40 saves.
Dylan Ferguson picked up the win with 24 saves for the Argos. Makai Holdener led the Argos with three goals and four assists, while Damien Riat and Dillon Dube both added two goals and four assists as 13 of 15 Notre Dame players picked up points.
The Argos clinched top spot in the SMAAAHL with a 32-7-3-0 record, five points ahead of the Battlefords Stars, who only have two games left in the regular season and trail the Argos by five points. The Legionnaires dropped to 8-31-2-1 in the loss.
The Legionnaires will be off until Monday when they visit the Regina Pat Canadians. They will close out the regular season next Tuesday when they host the Notre Dame Hounds at 8 p.m. at the Credit Union iplex.
