The Swift Current Broncos allowed three unanswered third-period goals in a 5-2 loss to the host Prince Albert Raiders Tuesday.
Coda Gordon gave the Broncos a 1-0 lead with his 20th goal of the season 6:54 into the first period. Collin Valcourt tied the game for the Raiders just 1:19 later. Brett Lernout put the Broncos up 2-1 only 51 seconds in the second period but Leon Draisaitl scored for Prince Albert to tie the game 2-2 heading into the third period.
Shane Danyyluk scored the game winner 7:12 into the third period and Draisaitl added his second 1:30 later before scoring into an empty net in the dying moments to complete the hat trick.
Eetu Laurikainen made 32 saves on 36 shots to drop to 17-15-0-5. Cole Cheveldave improved to 19-18-2-0 with a 34-save performance.
Swift Current remains fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 26-20-2-6 record after missing a chance to regain the East Division lead. Prince Albert remains ninth with a 24-25-2-1 mark after earning only their second win in the past 10 games, both coming at the expense of the Broncos.
The Broncos will continue a stretch of three straight East Division road games on Friday when they visit the Brandon Wheat Kings.
