The Kyle Elks added two wins to their total in the Sask Valley Hockey League over the weekend.
The Elks opened the weekend Friday with an 11-3 win over the visiting Kenaston Blizzard led by four goals and two assists from Thomas Williams. Justin Williams added two goals and two assists, Jeff Marshall posted four assists, and Dieter Gillanders also scored twice.
Greg Wills registered a goal and two assists and Derek Argue added three helpers. Danny Williams and Steve Moreside both contributed a goal and an assist, while Kendall Day and Bryon Sorensen added two assists apiece. Mitch Day and Colby Schneider also added assists in the win.
Jesse Book earned the win with 22 saves as the Elks outshot their opponent 47-25.
The Elks narrowly kept their unbeaten record intact Saturday in a 6-5 win over the Dinsmore/Lucky Lake Dynamoes. Cory Hodgins scored three goals and Danny Williams had four assists in the win. Day, Gillanders, and Justin Williams also scored. Sorensen and Thomas Williams both had two assists, while Marshall and Moreside added singles. Jamie Langen made 13 saves in the win.
The Elks finished the weekend with an 18-0-0-0 record with 158 goals for and 41 against. The Elks will play only one game this weekend when they host Elrose Aces Friday at 8 p.m. at the Kyle Sports Center.
