The Broncos lost their third straight game after allowing two early goals at home

A slow start cost the Swift Current Broncos in a 5-2 loss to the Kootenay Ice Saturday. The Broncos fell behind 2-0 before they really got going and never were able to even the score.

Landon Bow made 27 saves in the loss, while Mackenzie Skapski earned the win with 26 saves.

Nathan Burns and Glenn Gawdin scored for the Broncos, who twice pulled themselves within one goal.

Sam Reinhart led Kootenay with two goals and an assist. Tim Bozon, Jaedon Descheneau, and Luke Philp also scored.

The Broncos fell to sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 23-18-1-5 record. Kootenay is right behind them with a 24-20-2-2 mark. The Broncos will play their third game in as many nights Sunday when they visit the Prince Albert Raiders.
