Broncos' defensemen can improve draft stock at showcase event

A pair of Swift Current Broncos defensemen will have the opportunity to improve their draft stock at the 2014 BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Calgary tonight.

Brycen Martin and Julius Honka will both suit up for Team Orr at the 19th annual game featuring 40 of the top eligible players for the 2014 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

Honka has  36 points in 35 games after missing a month of action while helping Finland win gold at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Sweden. He was recently ranked 13th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting. He was also ranked 17th among all draft eligible players by TSN's Craig Button but was left off the International Scouting Service's Top-30.

Martin has 25 points in 45 games during his sophomore season. The Calgary native was ranked 20th by Central Scouting, 25th by Button, and 29th by ISS.

The game will take place at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary and can be seen on Sportsnet at 7 p.m. MST.
