Add 18-year-old forward Geordie Maguire from the Regina Pats

Swift Current Broncos

The Swift Current Broncos made a late move at the Western Hockey League trade deadline acquiring 18-year-old forward Geordie Maguire from the Regina Pats. The Broncos sent a sixth-round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft to Regina in return.

The 6'0, 175-pound left wing has seven goals and seven assists in 27 games with Regina this season. The Winnipeg native also had a minus-three rating and 20 penalty minutes.

He skated last season with the Brandon Wheat Kings with four goals, five assists, and 18 penalty minutes in 65 games as a rookie.

“He’s a really skilled player with a solid upside,” said Broncos General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb. “We feel he hasn’t quite reached his full potential yet, and will be a great fit with our team going forward."
