The Gull Lake Greyhounds enter 2014 as the top team in the White Mud Hockey League with a 8-1-0-0 record riding a five-game winning streak.
The Leader Flyer sit second with a 5-2-0-0 mark, followed by the Shaunavon Badgers at 5-4-0-0. Eastend is fourth with a 3-6-0-1 record and Frontier is fifth at 1-8-0-0.
Geoff Fisher leads the circuit in scoring with 24 points in 10 games and is tied for first in goals with 12. Leader's Jay Hern and Gull Lake's David Lerner also have 12 goals this season. Eastend's Cam VanSandt and Gull Lake's Maverick Holmes are both tied for second in league scoring with 22 points. Eastend's Travis Wasko is the top set-up man with 15 assists in nine games.
Gull Lake's Riley Kornfeld has been the top netminder with a 5-0 record and a league leading 2.80 goals against average.
There will be three games in the White Mud this weekend, beginning Friday when the Frontier Flyers visit the Gull Lake Greyhounds. The Leader Flyers will visit Frontier on Saturday and the Eastend Jets will visit Gull Lake on Sunday.
