The Swift Current Broncos failed to earn a point for the first time in 11 games in a 4-2 loss to the host Edmonton Oil Kings Saturday.

The Broncos trailed 2-0 after one period and fought back to tie the game with goals from Graham Black and Brett Lernout early in the third period.

Mitchell Moroz scored his second goal of the game on the powerplay at the 7:48 mark of the third period and Curtis Lazar added an insurance goal with 1:33 remaining to seal the win.

Reid Petryk also scored for Edmonton and Tristan Jarry earned the win with 22 saves.

Eetu Laurikainen suffered the loss with 34 saves to drop to 9-8-0-1. Black, 20, added an assist for his sixth multiple point game in his last eight outings as he extended his point streak to 11 games with 20 points over that stretch.

The Broncos remain second in the Eastern Conference with a 15-9-0-2 record, while Edmonton moved into third with a 14-8-0-1, just three points back of the Broncos with three games in hand.

The Broncos will be back at home Tuesday to host the Brandon Wheat Kings (12-11-0-0).
