The Swift Current Broncos reassigned Travis Child and Max Lajoie to their Midget teams in Alberta.
The Swift Current Broncos trimmed their roster by two players Friday, re-assigning defenseman Max Lajoie and goaltender Travis Child to their midget teams.
The roster moves leave the Broncos with two goaltenders, seven defensemen, and 14 forwards.
Child, a 16-year-old goaltender, will join the Sherwood Park Kings of the Alberta AAA Midget Hockey League. The Killam, AB product appeared in two preseason games with a 2-0 record, .833 save percentage, and a 4.00 goals against average. He was the Broncos second round pick, 29th overall, in the 2012 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
Lajoie recorded three assists in seven preseason contests. He will join the Calgary Royals of the AMHL. He was selected in the fifth round, 95th overall, in the 2012 Bantam Draft.
The moves leaves Glenn Gawdin as the only 16-year-old left on the Broncos 23-player roster. Gawdin was the Broncos first-round pick, fifth overall, in 2012.
