Wildcats fall 2-0 to Westman Wildcats to drop to 1-2

The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats have one game remaining in their Preseason Showcase. The Wildcats have a one win and two close losses after three games at home this weekend.
The Wildcats opened the tournament with a 3-2 loss to the Winnipeg Avros Friday afternoon. Tori Carlson and Karlie Bell both scored to tie the contest for the Wildcats, but Winnipeg scored the only third-period goal for the win.
The Wildcats bounced back with a 6-3 win over the league rival Prince Albert Bears later that evening. Merissa Zerr scored twice, while Keely Chalk, Tori Kendall, Bell, and Carlson all added singles. Jasey Book picked up the win in goal.
Swift Current faced the Westman Wildcats on Saturday evening and allowed two third-period goals in a 2-0 loss to drop to 1-2.
The Wildcats will conclude their tournament on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. against the Red Deer Chiefs at Fairview West Arena.
The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires will also conclude their Preseason Tournament at 10:30 a.m. at the Credit Union iplex against the Moose Jaw Generals.
