Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats captain Delaine Feil scored a hat trick as the Wildcats tied up their best-of-five playoff series 1-1 with a 3-2 win over the visiting Weyburn Wings Thursday.
“I thought the game was great,” said Feil. “We came out really strong in the second and really capitalized on all the chances we got. We got lots of chances and this time we buried them.”
Moriah Andrews made 15 saves in the Wildcats goal as they bounced back from a 2-0 game one loss the previous night in Weyburn.
“We just kept working hard and fed off each again,” said Feil. “We were just looking for each other out there today and this time it worked out.”
Game three will be played Sunday in Weyburn with game four set for Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. at Fairview West Arena in Swift Current. Game five, if necessary, would be played next Thursday back in Weyburn.
