The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats will be battling for playoff positioning this weekend when they play their final two Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League regular season games.

The Wildcats and Battleford Sharks will faceoff on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. at Fairview West Arena in Swift Current.

The Wildcats are led offensively by veterans Brooklyn Haubrich and Delaine Feil with 12 points apiece this season. Rookie Keely Chalk has added 11 points in 26 games.

The Wildcats have regulation and overtime road wins over the Sharks in their only two previous meetings this season back in November.

The Sharks will finish last in the SFMAAAHL this season as they head into the final weekend with a 2-21-0-3 record. The Wildcats are currently seventh with a 7-19-0-0 record.

The Regina Rebels have already locked up top spot in the SFMAAAHL with a 27-0-0-1 record. Prince Albert has secured second spot with a 19-6-0-3 record.

The Wildcats are currently one point back of Notre Dame for sixth spot, meaning they will play either Prince Albert, Saskatoon, or Weyburn in the opening round of the playoffs. Notre Dame (7-19-0-1) is winding up their regular season against fifth-place Melville (12-14-0-0) this weekend.
