The Swift Current Broncos’ dominance over the Regina Pats continued Friday as they earned a 2-1 road win at the Brandt Centre in Regina.

Playing their sixth game in eight days and third road game in four days, the Broncos got goals from Adam Lowry and Levi Bews to go ahead 2-0.

Chandler Stephensen replied with a powerplay marker for Regina late in the second period to pull the Pats within one goal.

Eetu Laurikainen made 28 saves to improve to 22-19-2-3 for the Broncos. Teagan Sacher stopped 38 shots in the loss to drop to 7-10-1-0.

The Broncos now have 11 of a possible 12 points against Regina with two games remaining in the season series. All six games have been decided by one goal in the season series.

Swift Current improved to 28-25-3-3 and remain seventh in the Eastern Conference, while Regina dropped to 20-32-3-3, 13 points back of Lethbridge for the eighth and final playoff spot with 14 games left in the regular season.

The Broncos will be back at home Monday to host the Kootenay Ice at 2 p.m. at the Credit Union iplex.
