The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires dropped their third straight game Tuesday as creating offense continues to be problem.

Still without leading scorers Jordan Wittman and Evan Patrick due to injury, the Legionnaires suffered a 7-0 loss to the visiting Moose Jaw Generals, missing a chance to play spoilers in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League playoff picture.

Donovan Neuls netted the hat trick, scoring the opening goal in all three periods, Rhett Gardner scored twice, and Ryker Cole and Ben Duperreault both collected three assists for Moose Jaw.

Luke Grassl was tagged with the loss after surrendering six goals on 27 shots over 48:21. Kyle Zinger worked the final 11:39 and made sevens saves on eight shots.

Ryland Pashovitz made 29 saves in his fifth shutout of the season for the Generals. Moose Jaw moved into third spot in the SMAAAHL with a 24-12-3-0 record. Pashovitz sits second among league goaltenders with .929 save percentage and third with a 1.78 goals against average.

The Legionnaires, who were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend in Saskatoon, remain 11th with an 8-22-7-2 mark.

The Legionnaires have four home games left in their regular season beginning Feb. 19 when they host Notre Dame Argos (15-21-1-2) at 8 p.m. at the Credit Union iplex.
