The Swift Current Southwest Terminal PeeWee Broncos dropped a pair of close games on home ice over the weekend to the visiting Melville Millionaires in South Sask PeeWee Hockey League action.
Saturday, the Broncos dropped a close 5-4 loss to Melville when Kamen Olafson scored with 5:25 left to clinch the win for the visitors. Hunter Lamb scored twice and Tanner Kendall picked up a pair of assists for Swift Current. Brock Herter also scored, while Jack Tonnies and Logan Fritzke added assists.
Sunday, the Broncos were able to tie the game 3-3 in the third period before allowing a pair of late goals in a 5-3 loss. Lamb scored two goals for a second straight game and Michael Grose also scored. Rylan Switzer, Matt Christianson, Aaron Toews, and Damon Legault all picked up assists.
The weekend dropped the PeeWee Broncos to 3-10-3 with three games remaining in their South Sask PeeWee AA Hockey League regular season schedule.
The PeeWee Broncos will be looking for better results this weekend when they pay a return visit to Melville (9-7-0) for a pair of games as they wind down their league schedule.
