Led by a five-point outing from Kole Lind, the Swift Current Kabos Raiders defended home ice in convincing fashion with a 7-1 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors Tuesday.
Lind led the scoring barrage with two goals and three assists, while Tristan Carey scored once and added three assists.
The Raiders out-shot the Warriors by period margins of 16-4, 16-2, and 28-2 for a final tally of 60-8 on the shot clock when the dust had settled.
Tyde Hutchinson, Carter Tangen, Cole Keenleyside, and Jarrett Gerlach all added goals in the dominating win. Tanner Nagel and Tanner Fritzke each added two assists, while Cody Kurtz, Dylan Rossiter, Drieden Gauthier, and Riley Couch all added singles.
The Raiders have now won four of their past five games in the Saskatchewan Bantam AAA Hockey League after bouncing back from a 5-4 loss to the Battlefords Barons Sunday at home.
Zach Hagerman ruined the Raiders’ shutout bid when he scored early in the third period to cut the deficit to 5-1. Josh Sundquist earned the win with seven saves to improve to 4-2-1 this season.
The Raiders improved to 11-7-4 and remain second in the South Division behind the Regina Pat Blues (16-3-1). Moose Jaw dropped to 4-15-1 as they remain 10th in the 11-team South Division.
The Raiders will be back at home Saturday to host the last place Weyburn Wings (3-13-3) at 7:45 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
