Swift Current Broncos

The Swift Current Broncos made a pair of roster moves involving veteran players on Wednesday, re-assigning forward Adam Smith and releasing Adam Rossignol.

Rossignol was entering his third WHL campaign and second season with the Broncos after being acquired from the Kootenay Ice back in January in exchange for defenceman Tanner Muth.

Rossignol had a goal and three points in a trio of pre season games. In 32 games with the Broncos last season as an 18-year-old, the Surrey, BC product had three goals, eight points, 26 penalty minutes and a -14 plus/minus rating.

Smith was assigned to the BCHL's Nanaimo Clippers after a pre season where he was held without a point and racked up 15 penalty minutes in four games. Smith did not register a point during 20 games during his WHL rookie season last year. The 6'2'', 189-pound forward was acquired in an October 2011 trade which sent Dillon Wagner to the Portland Winterhawks.

On Tuesday, the Broncos reassigned rookie prospect Denis Bosc to the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL. Bosc was a sixth round (121st overall) selection by the Broncos in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. Bosc recorded a single penalty over four pre-seasons tests during his first attempt in cracking the Broncos roster. Bosc had skated with Team West at the 2012 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.
