The Swift Current Broncos now have an overage player decision to make after acquiring 20-year-old forward Chance Lund from the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Lund joins overage forwards Christian Magnus and Ryon Moser, plus overage defenceman Ralton Reum as the 20-year-olds on the Broncos roster following the end of training camp.
Lund was acquired in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.
“Chance is a big guy who fits the identity of our team perfectly,” General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb said while announcing the trade. “He brings a scoring touch, strong skating ability and several years of WHL playing experience to our team and we're excited to have him join us.”
Last season Lund scored a career best 15 goals and 32 points along with 26 penalty minutes. At 6'5'' Lund ties Adam Lowry as the tallest roster players on the Broncos roster.
