The Swift Current Southwest Terminal PeeWee Broncos drew first blood in their opening round SHA playoff series against the Moose Jaw Warriors.

The PeeWee Broncos exploded for five third-period goals to win the opening game of the two-game, total goals series by an 8-3 final.

Caleb Stevenson led the attack with three goals and an assist, while Tristan Sulz had a four-point outing as well with four assists. Jace Dyck and Dallan Kozyn both added a goal and two assists, while Braden Levac chipped in a goal and an assist.

Mason Pederson and Hunter Lamb also scored, while Cayden Price and Logan Fritzke each added assists in a game that the PeeWee Broncos never trailed.

“It was a great game and a full team effort,” said head coach Dwayne Levac. “Everybody played and everybody played well, that is what we want to be able to do. We want to be able to roll four lines all the time. We were able to do that tonight and stayed away from the penalties, which makes it a little easier when you are not in the box the whole night.”

The second game is scheduled for next Thursday in Caronport.
