PeeWee Broncos conclude 2011 with a win

The Swift Current Southwest Terminal PeeWee Broncos finished off the first half of their season with a 6-3 win over the host Moose Jaw Warriors.

Caleb Stevenson led Swift Current with three goals. He now leads the teams with seven goals in 10 games this season. Stevenson’s third goal came on the powerplay in the third period to put the Broncos ahead 4-1 as they finished one-for-three on the man-advantage.

Hunter Lamb, Chloe Smith, and Braden Lavec all scored for Swift Current. Jace Dyck, Jaycee Seib, and Tristen Sulz all added assists. Seth Francis picked up the win.

The PeeWee Broncos finished 2011 in fourth place in the South Sask PeeWee AA Hockey League with a 2-7-1 record. Moose Jaw dropped to 1-7-1 in the loss.

The PeeWee Broncos will resume their league schedule on Jan. 5 when they host the Warriors at Fairview Arena.
