Cyclones snap three-game losing streak

The Cypress Cyclones snapped a three-game losing streak in the Prairie Junior Hockey League with a 5-3 win over the visiting West Central Rage on Thursday.

Craig Fournier scored with 2:39 remaining in regulation to break a 3-3 deadlock and Josh Schneider added an insurance marker in the dying moments.

Dallas McIntosh netted a pair of powerplay goals as the Cyclones finished two-for-six on the man-advantage.

Lane Sanderson had a goal and two assists, McIntosh added an assist during a three-point outing, Fournier had a goal and assist, and Rylan McKinnon added a pair of helpers. Keegan Ham also earned a single assist.

Paul Breton made 34 saves on 37 shots to improve to 3-5 this season.

The Cyclones improved to 7-9-0-2 this season, in fifth place in the South Division. The Rage dropped to 3-15-0-1 and remain last in the North Division.

The Cyclones will be back at home this weekend when they host the Ochapowace Thunder on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Maple Creek Arena.
