It was another long evening for the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats as they suffered a 7-0 loss to the visiting Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday.

Kirsten Toth led the Hounds with two goals and two assists, while Olivia Howe and Brittany Berisoff each added a goal and two helpers.

Laura Wiebe earned the shutout with 20 saves, while Amy Murray suffered the loss with 37 saves on 44 shots.

Kyle's Brittannia Gillanders, Kelty Apperson, and Kiana Strand also scored for the Hounds, who stretched their winning streak to eight games.

The Wildcats dropped to 1-12-0-0 and remain in seventh spot in the Saskatchewan Female Midgett AAA Hockey League. The Hounds sit second with an 11-2-1-0 mark, one point back of the Saskatoon Stars for top spot.

The Wildcats will have an excellent opportunity to get back into the win column this weekend when they visit the winless Battleford Sharks (0-10-0-0) for a pair of games.
