Kyler Beckett made 45 saves as the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires defeated the visiting Notre Dame Argos 5-4 on Tuesday.

Justin Spagrud netted the game winner, his seventh goal of the season, with 4:26 remaining in regulation to end a two-game losing streak.

Spagrud and Tim Vanstone both had a goal and an assist, while Erik Saleski and Carter Forsyth also scored.

Kadin Schmaltz, Lukas Biensch, Jordan Wittman, Zac Mackay, and Matthew Audette all added assists as the Legionnaires improved to 8-9, leaving the Argos with an identical 8-9 record in a three-way tie for sixth in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.

The Legionnaires finished two-for-eight on the man-advantage and held the Argos to one goal on nine powerplay opportunities.

The Legionnaires will be back on the road this weekend to face the last place Battlefords Stars (1-15).
