The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats are one loss awy from elimination after suffering a 1-0 loss to the Regina Rebels in game three of the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League quarter-finals.

The Rebels scored their lone goal midway through the third period and then held on for the win behind a shutout performance from goaltender Samantha Langford.

Chelsie Lowe suffered the loss in her series debut for the Wildcats.

The shutout victory gives the Rebels a two games to one lead in the best-of-five series with their second straight win after dropping the series opener.

Game four is set for Monday in Regina as the Wildcats attempt to fight off elimination.
