The Swift Current W.W. Smith Titans have advanced to the provincial Female Midget A semi-finals after skating to a dominating series win over the Battleford Sharks.
Swift Current has reached the final four of the provincial 16-team draw after downing the Sharks by a 14-5 margin in their two-game, total-goal provincial quarter final series.
The Titans skated to an 8-4 win over Battleford in the series opener, and after giving up the opening goal in game two on Wednesday, Swift Current rebounded with six unanswered goals to run away with the series.
Jill Kennedy was the Titans leading scorer with six goals and one assist during the two-game series. Other scorers were: Chelsea Trudeau - two goals, two assists; Brooklyn Hagman - one goal, three assists; Jane Kennedy - one goal, two assists; Kelsey Olfert - two goals; Hayley Chalk - three assists; Teagan Gillies - three assists; Taylor Slusar - one goal, one assist; Courtney Trudeau - two assists; Ashley Hovdestad - two assists; Darby Lemay - one goal; Alexandra Leshures - 1 assist.
The Titans will now face Melfort/Tisdale in the SHA western final. Melfort/Tisdale posted a 9-8 win over the Saskatoon Comets in the other quarter final series.
Swift Current earned a hard fought opening round 5-4 series win over the Elrose Aces to begin their playoff march.
