The WW Smith Female Midget Titans advance to the second round of the SHA Provincial playoffs with a narrow series win over Elrose.
Sunday the Titans were in Elrose for the first game of a two-game total point series. The visiting Titans came up short losing 2-1 on a Brooklyn Hagman goal assisted by Jill Kennedy.
The second game was played Tuesday in Swift Current in front of a packed house with the Titans overcoming the one-goal deficit to win the series 5-4. It was a tight game with an overtime sudden death period required where Darby Lemay scored the game winner. Hagman led the Titans with two goals, including a short-handed marker. Jill Kennedy also scored for the Titans.
Jane Kennedy, Courtney Trudeau, Lemay, and Camille MacBean all added single assists.
With the win the Titans advanced to the next round of the playoffs where they will face North Battleford.
