The Swift Current Broncos unveiled their new look uniforms when veterans Eric Doyle and Derek Claffey modeled the team’s new Reebok Edge uniforms during an unveiling event on Wednesday.

While the jersey colours remain black, blue, white and grey, the uniforms boast the same tapered look as the sweaters unveiled in the NHL last season.

“It’s going to give the guys a little bit more mobility. It’s kind of more form fitting, so they’ll be able to move around easier,” explained Bronco trainer Jamie LeBlanc.

The Reebok Edge Uniform System is also designed to repel water, reducing the weight of the jerseys as the game goes on and help eliminated that late game fatigue caused from the extra weight of the jersey.

The new uniforms will debut during the Broncos home opener on Sept. 18, and fans wanting to have the new-look jerseys can purchase them from the Broncos Stable starting Sept. 15.

Other benefits of the jersey include:

-       increased ventilation and breathability,

-       four-way stretch mesh for the underarm and back areas.

-       Heavy duty fabric on elbows and shoulders.

All Canadian Hockey League teams have unveiled their Reebok Edge uniforms for the coming season.
