21 students took part in the SWAC sand green golf championships

The Frontier Raiders found success on their home course at the SWAC sand green golf championships on September 18.

21 students took part in the SWAC championships, with Frontier golfers taking four of the top six spots, as well as the team competition.

A pair of Frontier golfers swept the top two spots in a very competitive boys tournament. Adam Keith won the boys title with an 86 for a one-stroke win. In second was Taron Ham with an 87, just one shot ahead of third-third place Ian Fiddler, who carded an 88.

Cabri’s Jadynn Jameson broke the home team’s dominance with a six-shot win on the girls side with a score of 110. Frontier’s Sydney Onerheim was second with a 116 and teammates Danica Casat finished third with a 118.

The Frontier team, comprised of Adam Keith, Taron Ham, Ben Dumontel, Adrienne Keith, Danica Casat and Sydney Onerheim, won the team competition, followed by Cabri in second.

The top three male and female golfers, as well as the Frontier team, will take part in Provincials in Frontier on September 27-28.
