Fisher runs for three touchdowns in shutout win

The Swift Current Comp. Colts football team is heading to the Moose Jaw High School Football League championship final after a dominating 20-0 win over the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Dalton Fisher rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns as the Colts pounded the Cyclones along the ground with 297 yards of rushing from four different ball carriers.
Fisher scored on runs of 30, two, and five-yards, and Dale Buckingham added a two-point convert.
Defensively the Colts allowed only seven first downs on 91 yards of total offense. Notably the Colts neutralized the Cylones along the ground with only 17 yards on 18 rushing attempts. The Cyclones went to the air on 18 occasions and were only able to gain 74 yards, while Dale Buckinham and Conrad Flatrude also picked off Cyclones’ quarterback Kahlen Branning once each.
The Colts will meet the undefeated Moose Jaw AE Peacock Tornadoes on Saturday in Moose Jaw at 1 p.m.
In their most recent meeting the visiting Colts fell 17-7 to the Tornadoes on October 16th to close the regular season. The Colts also fell 15-1 in the regular season opener in early September at Colts Field. In both games the Colts allowed a pair of early touchdowns before settling down to play relatively even games the rest of the way.
