Kirkpatrick wins Super League

The JayDee/Westax rink skipped by Max Kirkpatrick defeated Ken Koster’s Klassen Autobody rink to win the Innovation Credit Union Super League second half championship.

JayDee/Westax had placed fifth in the regular season with a 4-4-0 record before winning three straight games in the playoffs to claim the championship. They knocked out fourth seeded Scotiabank (Lenz) in the quarter-finals before defeating second seeded Premier Tech (James) in the semi-final.

Kirkpatrick was joined by third Shaun Meachem, second Jeff Chambers, and lead Shawn Hiebert.

Klassen Autobody had finished first in the 10-team round robin with a 7-1 record. They were upset in the quarter-final by Premier Tech but advanced to the final with a semi-final win over Swift Plumbing (Wicks).

The Jarvis Environmental (Bailey) rink defeated SWT (Wood) to win the Consolation Event.
