Kirkpatrick drops to C Event at Tankard

Max Kirkpatrick is down to his last life at the triple knockout 2013 SaskTel Men’s Tankard in Melfort.

Kirkpatrick fell 7-5 to Steve Laycock on Friday morning to drop to the C Event with his second loss of the tournament. He fell behind 4-1 after three ends and was never able to pull even despite counting two in the sixth to pull within one at 5-4.

Kirkpatrick, curling out of the Swift Current Curling Club, will put his tournament on the line in the C Event on Friday at 4 p.m. against Saskatoon’s Kevin Marsh needing three straight wins to advance to the Page Playoff.
